Without any factual basis, they issued a damage report claiming we damaged the wheel hub after we returned the car and left. Fortunately, I took clear photos before picking up the car, otherwise it would have been hard to defend ourselves.
The Europcar customer service phone line was unreachable, but the customer service of Zuzuche assisted by calling the towing company and informing us of the waiting time. Europcar's staff did not provide the towing number, causing us to waste time waiting endlessly. Even when the call got through, they provided no explanation or solution. Zuzuche's customer service efficiently resolved the issue! Europcar's customer service was unhelpful.
Staff member Roudayan was extremely helpful and spent time to make sure the car suited us perfectly. we appreciated his warmth and customer focus very much!
Renting a car was extremely slow, averaging half an hour per person. It is far worse than in the United States, where it took just 5 minutes to pick up the car!
Everything went smoothly in the beginning, but when it came time to pick up the car, I followed the instructions to the designated parking spot for over 20 minutes only to find a different car parked there. I spent nearly half an hour searching nearby and still couldn't find the car I rented. I called the store's customer service, but they didn't speak English and hung up on me. The staff who helped me rent the car spoke English, so why couldn't they have transferred me to an English-speaking colleague? In the end, I walked another 20 minutes back to the store, only to find out the car was parked in the lot right outside the store!!
Overall satisfactory, the store was relatively easy to find, and there was no upselling. However, it took a bit of time to locate the designated parking area when returning the car.
1. The scheduled pickup time was 12:00 PM, but when I arrived at the counter at 11:30 AM, they said it wasn't time yet and refused to allow pickup. I had to queue again at 12:00 PM, only to find out the reserved car model was unavailable. After some coordination, I finally got the car at 1:30 PM. 2. There was misleading promotion for insurance, which I discovered and canceled with the help of the customer service representative from Zuzuche (the car rental platform). I was told the refund would be processed within two or three days, but now thirty days have passed, and the refund still hasn’t been credited to my credit card. Zuzuche intervened and was informed that the refund process would only start after the car is returned today. 3. The service staff at the Europcar counter in Charles de Gaulle Airport had an extremely poor attitude. My reserved car was not kept, and instead of apologizing, they said, 'This is how we operate—take it or leave it!' I am submitting this review publicly and stand by the statements I have made.
