There were only two staff members at the pickup counter, and they were handling one order at a time, so I had to wait for a bit before they assisted me.
Pick up was fine. A little tuition about the car would have been helpful as unless you drive particular models there are variations which can baffle. Our main issue though was directions back to the drop off point. Sat nav didn’t take us to the right place.
Directions generally in Norway seem to be less than perfect though.
The Avis counter staff were WONDERFUL. The car had a dent in it that was unnoticed by their review, so I have to sort that out because they think I didn't (but I didn't), and the vehicle needed replacement of some fluid during the trip that I shouldn't have had to deal with. So I don't think their maintenance/vehicle care team is strong. But they credited me at the counter for the cost of the fluid I had to purchase, so that was good.
So far, I am satisfied. However, as the process is not yet fully completed (the hold amount has not been settled, and there may still be issues to resolve), I cannot give a complete evaluation at this time. Thank you for your understanding!
The company is quite professional, provides electronic contracts, and processes settlements quickly after renting. The actual car received was one tier higher than the reserved model, without extra charges.

Before renting, I checked the condition of the car and took a 360-degree video, noticing there was already a dent on the vehicle. After returning the car, the rental company emailed us claiming that we caused damage to the car. Even after providing the video, they questioned why we took the video at 8:30 when we had completed the rental process at 8:00. Can't we take a break after completing the rental process and then take the car? The company's management is chaotic—they fail to properly document pre-existing issues with their cars. Even though we provided evidence, they didn't check whether we left the parking lot during that half-hour. Instead, they seem to be waiting for us to prove we weren't responsible. If we can’t prove it, are they expecting us to pay for damage we didn’t cause?
