Great car, disappointing fees.

When I checked in I told the Hertz rep I would be a bit late dropping off the car and did I need to change the booking by 30 minutes. He said no, it was no problem and I didn't need to update the booking. My reservation ended at 1 pm and as indicated, I dropped the car at 1:25 pm. But when they emailed my receipt, they charged me $40 USD for one extra hour! Almost the same price as I paid for a whole day. Very dishonest given I asked in advance and could have amended the booking for a lower cost.

I was completely clueless and just tried to balance between reviews and price, so I chose Hertz. It turned out to have the longest line when picking up the car. My broken English was not enough, but the staff patiently communicated with me using translation software.

I booked a SUV and I literally got a 4 wheel drive hatch back. Very underpowered. I had questions about EZ pass. The staff brushed off the questions and said I had to deal with a 3rd party pass plate. Not very impressed. When I dropped off the car I had to pick up another car. They just gave me the same crap car back to me as they said they had nothing else left.

Like: Had seen trucks at decent prices but waited to book and they went up. Surfed around and found this location and it offered truck at price I wanted. There was absolutely NO problem at counter when I picked up and drop off was easy. Would book again!!
Dislike: I would have liked a Nissan, but trucks at premium and the Silverado had a good bed size to hold all my display set-up. The truck really handled well. Had to drive mountain roads in New Mexico.
