Despite confirming multiple times before the trip that an employee would meet us at the airport, there was no one when we arrived at night. When we called, they said they were about to close and didn't take responsibility for handing over or inspecting the car. We had to find the car ourselves in the external parking lot. When returning the car at 10 AM, no one was there either, and we had to wait outside for someone to help with checking in the vehicle.

The agent assisting me turned hostile when I said I didn't want to purchase insurance and insisted I pay a hefty deposit! Additionally, they only disclosed one flaw on the car, but upon inspection, I found over 10 noticeable defects on the car's body!

Car was as expected but very dirty. Counter stuff was busy trying to sell additional insurances and not really listening

Counter staff became hostile when I didn't want to purchase additional insurance (not needed as i had an annual SDCW policy). On returning the vehicle, the staff member inspected the car and found 2 minute scratches (almost invisible to the naked eye and certainly not done by me) and said that, technically, I was responsible for this as the 'damage' had not been reported when I picked up the car. She decided not to charge me as she was 'tired'. I am not an easily annoyed person, but her attitude made me very cross. I would not use goldcar again. If you choose to do so, I would recommend inspecting thoroughly the vehicle on pickup and making sure that you report even the tiniest scratch and paint chip before accepting the car.
