Vehicle pickup and drop-off were both handled at the Hertz store, and they provided an upgraded vehicle, which was excellent. The car was in great condition. The service was straightforward without any upselling or unnecessary chatter. Highly recommended.

Has Thrifty been acquired by Hertz? When picking up the car in Milan, Thrifty orders were handled at the Hertz counter, basically, it was a Hertz booking. Hertz is very inefficient, took a long time in line, and it took two hours to get the car. The originally booked Ford C-Max was unavailable, so Hertz gave us a Nissan Qashqai for free. In Italy, you are allowed to drive to other developed Western European countries (UK, Germany, Switzerland, etc.). We added one additional driver; with taxes and service fees, the total cost was quite high, nearly half the original rental fee. I have a very poor impression of Hertz. Back in 2016, I rented a car in Brisbane, and Hertz charged more for an upgrade because the car I originally booked was unavailable. I didn't expect to book a car with Thrifty only to end up with Hertz again.

Hertz was excellent, having ran out of small cars they upgraded me toa larger more comfortable one at no extra cost. Staff was corteus and wfficient.

Extremely easy and fast booking. Competitive prices. Will use it again.
