The staff is efficient and has a good attitude.

At LA airport, this was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced globally from a car rental company, no exaggeration. The staff insisted I buy extra insurance, and when I refused, they told another employee I was crazy and would definitely get into an accident! They also implied any issue, like a flat tire, was my problem. The car I booked wasn't available, and the substitute had a shaky steering wheel at speeds over 70 miles per hour.

I've rented cars many times in the US, but this place required a Chinese driver's license and a photo record of it, the translation alone wasn't enough. Consequently, I had to go back to the hotel with my luggage to fetch it. Also, the reservation name, driver's name, and credit card must be the same person, which is not required elsewhere. They tried to sell us fuel without even checking our order. I told him we've already bought fuel, but he didn't listen and used a translation app on his phone to tell me that the car must be returned with a full tank. It was quite disrespectful to us. Finally, they insisted on selling us insurance, although I've already bought comprehensive insurance. It took a long time. San Francisco is not very friendly to Chinese people.

Budget rental was really impressive! First, at pick-up: They initially didn't have the Tahoe model we booked, so they provided another SUV of the same class. When we saw a Tahoe in the garage, we asked the staff and they patiently helped us switch to the preferred model. During the rental period: Unfortunately, our car window was broken in San Francisco (no items were lost). We immediately contacted Budget customer service, and within 10 minutes they helped us with the registration and guided us on how to switch cars. That evening, we went to San Francisco airport and exchanged for another Tahoe. The process was quick and convenient. Since the insurance covered everything, there were no extra costs.

Pick up staff member very unhelpful and difficult to understand her strong Hispanic accent. Was not at all understanding when we asked her to repeat and explain the toll procedures!
