Pretty good experience. Initially, I was given an old GMC AT4 with a small size and loud noise while driving. After calling customer service, they immediately agreed to a replacement. I selected another car at LA airport, and I was quite satisfied.

We were given a complimentary upgrade and the car and the process all worked very well. Because I'm AVIS preferred I could skip the incredibly long queue in the main booking hall and go straight to the preferred desk. If I wasn't I think I would have waited over half an hour to get to the front of the queue (which we stood in first before seeing the sign to AVIS preferred)

All worked vey well and when I had a support query it came back quickly with an answer

The staff was very responsible, really liked the new Mazda model, and there were no extra charges.

Overall, it was pretty good. The pick-up location was fine, but the drop-off spot was too confusing. If you happen to stay at the hotel where the return address is, even the reception staff there are unsure where to return the car. The GPS had a power connection issue and ran out of battery as soon as I arrived, which could have been a big hassle.
