Great, smooth car rental

Positive feedback: 1. A driver's license and notarized documents are sufficient for rental; 2. Easy car pickup procedures, quick car return. Negative feedback: 1. The staff at Rome airport has limited English proficiency; 2. Insufficient information on pickup and return locations; 3. The vehicle had over 110,000 km and was covered in scratches. Other: 1. Confusing deposit policy, as it was claimed to be canceled without using a credit card; 2. Cross-city return fee and additional driver fee are somewhat expensive.

I booked a Skoda but got a Mercedes A180 instead. The car is in good condition!

The provided car had engine oil problems and a warning light turned on. The low beams didn't work at all. I had to fix it myself. Also, the windshield washer reservoir was leaking; it emptied quickly after refilling. Compared to Hertz, the car's condition was much worse.

Not particular to Scicily but the pick up process should be quicker if all the conditions have been pre-agreed on line

The staff were very pleasant and everyone spoke English. There was definitely pressure to spend more money at the desk (for insurance, car upgrade, etc.), but that is not unusual. Very pleased that we were able to drive to Switzerland, France and Monaco with no extra fees. We booked a "Fiat 500 or similar" and got a fairly new Fiat Panda.

Excellent platform. The Price Drop Protector automatically re-booked us for a lower price, which was a nice surprise. But more importantly, this is the only platform I have found that provides clear information on insurance as well as cross-border travel fees.
