The Hertz car rental near the Bologna train station upgraded me to a 9-seater Mercedes, which I initially thought was a bonus since I had booked a 7-seater. However, I only checked the exterior for scratches and dents when I picked up the car and did not inspect the interior. During the trip, I encountered issues: the left rear door intermittently reported being open when it was not, and later the right rear door could not be locked, preventing us from leaving items inside. Eventually, the right rear door got stuck in the locked position and could not be unlocked, making it unusable until the car was returned. Since it did not seriously hinder our use, we continued with the trip and did not contact the company.

Booked a 4 door car but we got a 2door car and when we asked why we were told that was the class we had booked so I think next time we book a hertz car we need to understand what class gives you what.

EasyRentCars gave us a sense of protection and we felt that we were protected fully by insurance especially in Italy. Booking process was easy so we will use EasyRentCars again on our next trip.
