I got a very clean and nice car, but:
Tires were very used at the front and I got a fine from police.
One of the tire was punctured coarsely repaired.
I had to replace both tires at the front, as per regulation after having called Europcar. 3 months after, I still didnt get any feedback from them.
Very disappointing.

Staff at Roissy airport agency very unpleasant and not accomodating. the car was very dirty (seats dirty and dog fur inside) and car body very damaged (10 existing damages). at middle travel, the car had a lack of oil so we have to find europcar in Brive for filling.

Do not rent from this rental company, Europcar at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. When renting the car, they will pre-authorize an amount higher than the actual rental cost, with the excess being the deposit. After your rental period ends, the company does not charge you the actual amount but the highest pre-authorized amount. For example, if your rental is 1000 euros, they will pre-authorize 1100 euros, with the extra 100 euros as a deposit. While this seems normal at the start, by the time you return the car, they actually charge you 1100 euros despite the agreed rental fee. Since you are already back home at this point, any efforts to argue through platforms like QEEQ will be met with various excuses, such as not overcharging, banking issues, etc. Additionally, contacting this rental company via phone is not free. When I called, they claimed I had violations, which contradicted the reply from QEEQ. Also, the cars from this rental company are in poor condition, with high mileage. Avoid renting from Europcar, even though they offer cheap prices.

Pretty good, rented cars a few times, and Europcar was the best among them. AVIS/BUDGET had bad reviews. Europcar clearly and thoroughly explained the additional insurance options, and we could choose whether or not to include them. I made a mistake with BUDGET, not realizing they added insurance and services without my consent and signed the contract without noticing. BUDGET staff seemed intentionally misleading, but I won't go into details. If you're interested, you can message me privately. Even though this is a review for Europcar, I wanted to mention BUDGET. It made me resolve to always give BUDGET a bad review whenever possible. Honestly, I wouldn't be reviewing Europcar if it wasn't to criticize BUDGET.

Other customers (regular Europcar clients) take 5-10 minutes. Our family rented two cars, and it took a total of 1.5 hours! I have records, feel free to verify! There was no line, just very slow processing! For the child seat, they told us to just go directly. When inspecting the car, there was no one in the office; we waited for over ten minutes. When we returned to the front desk, they said the person had gone for lunch!

The store is near the airport exit, making it relatively easy to find. After arriving at the store, we waited in line for about 15 minutes. During the procedure, the staff recommended additional insurance but did not force us to buy it. After completing the pickup procedure, we waited for about 15 minutes before the staff handed us the car keys and informed us of the car's location. It took us about 5 minutes to find the car. We had originally booked a Peugeot 5008 (7-seater), but upon pickup, we were upgraded to a Nissan X-Trail (7-seater). The vehicle was relatively new and well-equipped. Although there were a few noticeable scratches on the body that had not been repaired, it did not affect the driving.

Long waiting time. Our number was already displayed on the screen, but we still waited for over 10 minutes. Not sure what the staff was doing. During the paperwork, the rental staff kept recommending us to upgrade the car model, costing an extra 85 euros. After we declined, they continued to push for various reasons such as it being flashy, luxurious, and discounted. This made the process very slow. They also kept pushing insurance, resulting in the entire process from queuing to getting the car taking more than an hour! Very dissatisfied.

1. I already purchased full insurance on Zuzuche. When picking up the car, I told the staff in English that I didn't need insurance. They gave me a contract in French and pointed out a €950 charge, explaining that it was the deposit and emphasized that it was a credit card pre-authorization, not a fee. However, the €950 included €650 for insurance, which wasn't mentioned at all. The entire insurance contract was in French, which I couldn't understand. As it was my first time renting a BENZ V-Class car, I accepted the €950 deposit as reasonable and signed the contract, not realizing I had bought extra insurance. After returning the car and coming back home, I received three invoices from the car rental company for €650 in insurance and two €875 car damage fees. Despite already having the company's insurance, I was charged a total of €1750 for car damages.

Picking up the car was quite complicated. First, they didn't have the car model we booked and kept pushing us to upgrade. The rental company even had a Chinese-speaking person call us to persuade us to upgrade. After we insisted on not upgrading, they initially said there were no cars and we'd have to wait 30 minutes. I agreed to wait, but then the customer service representative disappeared. After half an hour, they still hadn't returned, so we had to find another representative to finally get the keys. When we went to the parking lot to pick up the car, the attendant wasn't there either. We waited around 20 minutes without seeing anyone. Since we were in a hurry, we inspected the car ourselves and left as there were no issues.

We struggled to understand why a pin head size mark ( this is not an exaggeration) on the windscreen was the focus of attention especially given the very dirty car we were given at pick up.
Fortunately my wife had photographed every surface of the car at pick up and she was able to identify the pin head on one of the photographs.
This really concerned us as a trust issue for us with Europecar.Their cut off for what is an issue with a car being returned seems very out of step with other companies which use the size of a coin as the cut off.
Are Eoropecar trying to set up customers for pay outs or was this just one over zealous employee?
I would appreciate a response to this question

Excellent service! Since I often rent cars from EUROPCAR, I was given priority service after queuing. As it's a European Union-wide chain, my personal rental information was recognized immediately. The whole car rental process took less than five minutes. The car handover was quick, and the return inspection was very efficient too. During the recent Olympic period, the car's GPS provided real-time navigation information, which was fantastic. I rented a Hyundai, but due to unavailability, I was upgraded to an Audi that had only 2,000 kilometers on it.
