Very satisfied. I directly found the rental point by following the instructions. After completing the handover, they gave me a Jeep. The only minor downside was the lack of reverse electronic navigation, which tested my parking skills.
Encountered an unexplained charge of over 50 euros, suspecting the store falsely charged for a full tank even though I declined at pickup and returned the car with a full tank. Last time it was Hertz, this time it's Avis (Budget). Both are bad, avoid these companies. Now waiting to see how much rentalcars.com can recover.
Overall service was satisfactory. The rental company should provide more information and guidance about the pickup and return processes. At the time of pickup, after making the payment, the staff only gave a brief overview of the contract. There was no staff accompanying us during the vehicle pickup process; we had to locate the car by ourselves. Once at the pickup location, it was not easy to find staff. The return was done at night, and there was no one present at the return location.
Overall service was satisfactory, but the car rental company should provide more guidance and instructions for the pickup and drop-off processes. When picking up the car, after making the payment on-site, the company only gave a brief explanation of the contract. No staff accompanied me during pickup; I had to find the car myself. Once at the pickup location, it was not easy to locate any staff. For the return, it was done at night, and there was no one at the drop-off point.
I was offered an upgrade at a reasonable rate, however they failed to tell me that the car was a PHEV and there was no electric charge when I picked the car up, meaning that it used way more petrol than it should have. Also when I dropped the car off, there was no one to inspect it
Long wait to get to thé counter, then a long walk to the car to find out somebody else was already leaving with it. I had to go back and get another car.
When I went to pick up the car for the first time, they only mentioned that I did not meet the age requirements without clarifying whether it was due to driving experience or actual age. Additionally, neither the website nor the app indicated this restriction. The vehicle provided was downgraded without explanation or any alternative solution offered. I had to negotiate with customer service for a long time and personally visit the office twice before being able to switch to a slightly better model.
“People wanting small cars should be able to have them!”
About Budget:8.0/10
I booked a mini car as I have a small parking space at my apartment. The smallest they could give me was a Peugeot 308, which was far bigger than I needed and which was difficult to park.
