When I arrived at the location, they said there were no cars available, so they upgraded me to a 7-seater Ford. Despite purchasing full insurance, I was inexplicably charged an additional 93 New Zealand dollars after returning the car. I contacted the platform several times over several days but received no response, and I have already filed a complaint with 12315.
The staff, both in Chinese and English, were easy to communicate with, polite, and friendly. They didn't try to upsell any products, and the overall process was quite efficient.
Service at the counter was fast. It was even faster dropping off.

Very easy to use and love the insurance option and also the reminder texts as a trip comes up. But the text for how to pick up the car was confusing- the pickup was at the Thrifty airport desk and did not require a phone call to have the car delivered.
The store is easy to find, the rental process is quick, the car is in great condition, costs are transparent, and the store even provided a self-driving guide for easy orientation.
The service was average. During the return process, there was no one to provide guidance, which made me feel a bit helpless. The staff had a cold attitude and left after receiving the keys.
The vehicle provided was very new and in excellent condition. Returning the car was very simple – just handing over the keys was enough. Overall, very satisfied.
For actual service, just go with Hertz. In Queenstown, renting a car requires queuing for the paperwork, but both pickup and drop-off are relatively convenient when using Hertz directly.
