Very satisfied

The rental location is in the city center, which is quite convenient. We walked around the city before picking up the car and there was almost no queue. The staff's attitude was average. They didn't check the order carefully and still asked us to pay for an additional driver. It took some effort to communicate in broken English and show them the order before they understood. This made me a bit anxious since my English isn't very good. A kind lady from Guangdong helped us with the car pickup, and she was pretty friendly.

Very satisfied. Arrived at 2 AM and got a free upgrade to an SUV.

Originally booked a Ford Focus, but was informed at the airport that it wasn't available. After some negotiation, I paid a small fee to upgrade to a Ford Mustang. AVIS had good service, the pickup and return process was convenient, the car was fairly new, and it was in good condition.

The vehicle was not prepared for rental. It had not been cleaned and was not re-fuelled. The lack of fuel was reported to Avis before we left the rental lot. I paid for a full tank of gas, On returning the vehicle, I complained about the lack of preparation, cleanliness and missing gas. The only thing Avis was prepared to do was refund the charge for gas. It remains to be seen whether this gets paid. The vehicle itself wasn't great. There was a loud annoying squeak that was irrutating throughout the 2 week rental. The ride of the vehicle could best be describes as 'agricultural', i.e. not very comfortable.

Booking process was okay. No benefit from price drop protector.
