The car couldn't be opened, and I thought the key might be out of battery. Hertz didn't have batteries at the store, so I had to take a taxi to buy them myself, but changing the battery didn't solve the problem. Eventually, I had to wait for a tow truck to take the car away and then take another taxi to the Hertz store to get a replacement car.
