The staff was handsome

The car was quite new but it has a few scratches which was not marked on the rented document so I had to make the staff aware of it

The prices quoted by Easyrentcars are very competitive so I tend to go with them hiring the car from Easyrentcars.

Counter staff became hostile when I didn't want to purchase additional insurance (not needed as i had an annual SDCW policy). On returning the vehicle, the staff member inspected the car and found 2 minute scratches (almost invisible to the naked eye and certainly not done by me) and said that, technically, I was responsible for this as the 'damage' had not been reported when I picked up the car. She decided not to charge me as she was 'tired'. I am not an easily annoyed person, but her attitude made me very cross. I would not use goldcar again. If you choose to do so, I would recommend inspecting thoroughly the vehicle on pickup and making sure that you report even the tiniest scratch and paint chip before accepting the car.

The car was excellent but I was subject to strong urging to upgrade to a flash model that I didn't want. Plus the usual dire warnings if I didn't take out the extra insurance.

The Goldcar checkin staff have ruined my Italy holiday. The female employee who handled my rental lied to me. I was double charged the insurance hold I agreed to, despite repeated denials and despite me showing proof from my credit card account. As a consequence my credit card exceeded its credit limit and I was unable to pay for my pre-booked hotel accommodation. I had to sleep in the rental car and the airport for the first two nights until the first block was reversed on my credit card. I will be making a formal complaint when I return home.
