The counter staff was not very friendly when I was picking up the car. They immediately recommended an upgrade, and when I declined, their attitude worsened. They then suggested buying additional insurance, and when I refused, they started mumbling. Now, Alamo offers self-service kiosks with Chinese language options, so I recommend using the self-service machines.

The staff did not try to sell us any insurance. They just asked how many people we had, and upon learning that we had a larger group, they recommended a bigger car. At first, I thought it was a sales tactic, but they showed us the car we initially booked—it really wasn't big enough for our luggage. We ended up paying extra to upgrade to a larger car. Not sure if there was a discount, but it was sufficient.

I booked and paid for the full insurance on Zuzuche. After queuing and handling the paperwork at the store, the staff said there was no Chinese navigation for mid-large SUVs. I asked if it was free, and they said only English was free; Chinese navigation would cost $85 for 4 days. They also said they would give me a good car if I paid an extra $156 to get Chinese navigation for free. Originally, I booked a mid-large SUV, but the store said they'd give me a class 4 vehicle. Zuzuche doesn't categorize cars that way, making it hard to distinguish. They actually gave me a Ford SUV. It feels like even though I paid in full, I had to pay an additional $156, effectively doubling the rental cost. When returning the car, I raised my concerns with the staff, and they only waived $50. So, Zuzuche, please give me an explanation. I called today, but nobody answered, constantly directed to automated services. Please give me a response.
