The staff at the rental location were quite professional, patiently answering all my questions about vehicle operation. The car was relatively new and easy to handle, which was very helpful for me as a first-time driver of a right-hand drive car. He didn't try to sell me anything, but I decided to add full insurance at the store for peace of mind. It wasn't expensive, just over 100 pounds for 7 days. Because the rural roads in the UK are narrow, I initially wasn't used to it and scratched the wheels. When I returned the car, the staff said they would hold my 500-pound deposit and refund it after the insurance claim. The refund was processed in a few days. Traveling through the Cotswolds without a car would be inconvenient; the most enjoyable part of my trip to the UK was driving through the countryside.

I booked a Mercedes C, but upon arrival, they said it wasn't available and offered a DS instead. I agreed, but then they said the DS wasn't available either and asked if I could take an XC40 with a 15% discount. After a day of driving, the right rear tire kept indicating low pressure.

There were additional fees, more than what was shown on the order. The staff said everyone has to pay some sort of location fee. The car was almost brand new, only a thousand kilometers.

I picked a Volvo XC60 but got a Hyundai Tucson instead. They insisted it was the same category.

counter staff could not have been helpful practical and friendly, giving us great advice on where to go locally - advice that we followed and were pleased to have done so. Super straightforward on the dos and don'ts including the unique aspects of a Cornwall country lane. So far as I can see the price was way below other Penzance car hire.
