I explained that I had just arrived due to a delayed flight and didn’t have cash on me. The officer asked how much money I had and mentioned that any currency would do. I said I had none, then he said he would confiscate my driver’s license and I could retrieve it in Tulum. I agreed, but he asked again if I had any cash on me, to which I shook my head. Finally, he gave up. The car return process was smooth. Your company is quite large and part of the Mas group—highly recommend using them.
