It's recommended to choose large car rental companies. Local small ones may have hidden issues despite lower prices, so be cautious if you don’t speak the language.

Booking was easy but it wasn’t immediately obvious which provider to go to at the rental hub.

Allocated the same car to myself and someone else .. as I approached car he was driving off ! so that was annoying and had to walk back with luggage to the desk office

No issues ... straightforward as always

The car was in a very poor state, despite being told I was being switched to a 'newer car' there was a list of 7 elements of damage to the car on the original rental agreement. On inspection once I went to pick up the car, I found 3 other serious bits of damage to the car, 1 involving the lights that had not been noted. I have attached photos of these. On returning to the car rental desk (as there were no staff in the parking area), I had to wait for previous customers to finish their agreement before flagging up this damage and having my rental agreement amended by hand and signed. I have attached a photo of these amendments. I don't believe this car should have been rented and it had not been well cleaned in advance.

Being able to use a debit card for the holding fee was very helpful, however could be more clearly communicated.
