Excellent rental car experience for road trip in California.

The queue was a bit long, and there were not enough staff.

Overall service was fine, but the queue was a bit long.

The process of renting and returning the car went very smoothly.

Thrifty overbooked their rental cars, which caused we waited more 2 hours. The staff solicited me to raise cost to upgrade car & get car soon, otherwise there will be 2 more hours waiting. I provided my phone number to get their notice. After 2 hours waiting by the counter, they did not inform me the car was ready until I approached asked the staff, then he said my car was ready....

There was no proper queuing system at the Thrifty shuttle pick up point. We had 8 pieces of luggage (inc car seat and pram) and it was impossible for us to get on the shuttle bus that takes us from the Thrifty drop off office to LAX. The buses that came were either full or people have no consideration that we arrived first. We ended up having to call UberXL.
