For actual service, just go with Hertz. In Queenstown, renting a car requires queuing for the paperwork, but both pickup and drop-off are relatively convenient when using Hertz directly.

Very satisfied! Easy pick-up and drop-off, and the vehicle was in great condition.

The service was excellent. Although I bought insurance on QEEQ, they still try to sell you their own at pickup. The difference is that the one bought locally doesn't require an advance payment, while the one bought in China does. Since I had an intercity drop-off, they also tried to sell me an option for a fuel-empty return, which you can choose based on your preference.

Communication was terrible. The interactions with the rental platform were shocking, and a relatively simple issue wasted over 3 hours of my time, leaving me very disappointed. Although the staff were very polite and genuinely tried to help, their competency was truly questionable.
