Special thanks to the service after picking up the car. We picked up the car (KIA Rio) from the San Francisco airport rental center on the first night. The next morning, I accidentally scraped the right side mirror and scratched the right side of the car while reversing in Muir Woods. I called QEEQ and they said I could return to the rental location to exchange the car. On the way back, another car turned right and scratched the left side of our car. We exchanged information as instructed by the police since the other party had insurance. The insurance company took care of the claim, so we didn't have to pay anything on the spot. When we returned to the rental center to exchange the car, the staff reassured us that our insurance covered everything. They just needed us to fill out the checklist, so no personal on-site compensation was needed. They then quickly gave us another car of the same level (Ford SE) without any cumbersome procedures, allowing us to continue our journey swiftly. However, before picking up the car, the rental center staff spent half an hour trying to upsell us. They recommended upgrading, claiming our current model was the worst. They mentioned the upgraded models had USB ports, backup cameras, higher horsepower, and better fuel efficiency. When we asked if our current model had USB and a backup camera, they were unclear. They also pushed for FasTrak toll cards and extra insurance until we clearly stated we had full coverage. Only then did they complete our paperwork, allowing us to finally get the car.

They do try to upsell, so just watch out for any additional fees. Usually, there will just be an extra $200 pre-authorization charge at the counter.

As it was my first time renting a car from Dollar, I didn't understand their densely packed paperwork with so many words. When renting, I repeatedly asked about the additional charges. They told me that these fees were included in the insurance I paid for and assured me there would be no extra costs. They also said the amounts listed on the document were estimates. Apart from the airport return fuel charge, which I accepted as part of the service I chose, all other fees felt like hidden charges. They weren't clearly explained and were proactively recommended, then subtly added to the bill using English to force the upsell. When returning the car, I had some time to search online and found out that the fees included insurance types I didn't need, like PAI/PEC (personal effects insurance) and PERM (roadside assistance), as well as Concession Fee Recovery, among others. I confronted the customer service staff who handled my order, but they refused to acknowledge it. When I mentioned I wanted to file a complaint, they said, 'Go ahead.' I even suggested reviewing surveillance footage, and their response was, 'Feel free.' The service experience was extremely poor, and I ended up spending several hundred RMB more than expected! This has also shaken my trust in Zuzuche. I hope Zuzuche headquarters can address this matter, considering the significant customer base they bring to partnering companies. Thank you!
