For a change, i have rented car from East Coast car rental for the first time. It all was very smooth. Price was excellent to be honest. Car was in very good shape with no problem. One important issue for me also was that hiring car from Sydney while driving out of Sydney finds me to use short segment of toll roads, and compared with some other companies, who overcharge admin fee to sort this out, EastCoast charges only 3 Aud plus fee for the use of toll road, which is far superior to some hefty fees charged by other companies. Also, service desk sorted my rental within just few minutes on arrival, and similarly the check off on departure was more than smooth, it took close to no time. So overall, very happy with my first experience.

The service attitude is alright! But there's a major drawback. Be cautious when renting a car; even if you buy insurance, the deductible is $4,400. This means you have to pay $4,400 before the insurance covers any damage, whether it's a scratch or a minor dent.

Forced to buy insurance, no details provided for road fees, car did not match booking. Booked a Mitsubishi but got an MG instead, which had scratches. Due to time constraints, had to buy full insurance for $137.00. Otherwise, a $1000.00 deposit was required. Now, they have deducted road fees three times without providing specific times and locations. Dissatisfied.

Not far from the airport, prompt pick-up and drop-off. Attentive service, they even provided a free navigation system. The car was new and in good condition. However, the rental company requires the renter to log in and check toll charges themselves, which is inconvenient for foreign visitors. It would be better if the rental company could check the tolls and deduct the fees from the renter's credit card, then notify them.
