When we went to pick up the car, the staff spoke English very quickly on purpose, and we barely understood. They asked for a credit card, and my friend absentmindedly signed without checking. We received a notification from the bank at the hotel saying $263 was charged. We had full insurance coverage, but they added extra charges for roadside assistance and a tank of fuel. We went back to discuss, and they said the roadside assistance fee could be refunded but not the fuel fee. When we booked on ZUZUCHE, the contract stated full-to-full fuel policy, but they claimed it was invalid because we paid in full, so they charge for fuel and allow the car to be returned empty. It's impossible to return it completely empty, so we had some fuel left. This company is deceitful. We didn't make a fuss because the car was upgraded and the rental fee was cheap.

The day after picking up the car, I was reminded to add engine oil. I contacted customer service and was told to go to a nearby Hertz branch to add oil. After driving over ten miles to find one Hertz branch, it turned out to be closed. The next day, Saturday, I drove another ten miles to a city branch marked on Google Maps, only to find it had been shut down. Then I drove another ten kilometers to another location, which had also been closed. Finally, after driving another ten kilometers, I found a Hertz branch that was actually open. After explaining the situation to the staff, they pulled up the vehicle information and confirmed that the oil indeed needed refilling. However, they couldn’t help me add the oil and suggested I return to the rental location to exchange the car. Luckily, I had only rented the car for four days, so I didn’t plan to drive to many places anyway. I decided to wait until the fourth day to return the car as scheduled due to the hassle of driving around just for the oil.

They thought I didn't understand English and selected an additional paid insurance for me. I later found out and had it corrected. They kept trying to sell me insurance and other unnecessary services. Returning the car was convenient.

They are all scammers. After I paid through Zhuanzhuan Car, I was supposed to be able to pick up the car directly. When I arrived at the store, a black man gave me a paper and charged a $350 deposit. I wondered why I needed a deposit when I had already paid through Alipay. When returning the car, they deducted another hundred dollars, claiming there were extra charges on the paper for some medical expenses. Isn't that nonsense? I had already bought insurance from Zhuanzhuan Car. There were so many abbreviations; only God knows what they mean. They asked me to sign without any explanation. They are all scammers! Zhuanzhuan Car charged me 2381 RMB, and the car rental company charged me over 1000 RMB. I ended up spending over 3000 RMB to rent a compact Ford for ten days. If this isn't fraud, what is?
