Alamo in Salt Lake City is very close to the terminal, just a 5-minute walk. Several car rental companies are in the same building. The Alamo staff were very friendly, and I picked up the car directly with my driver's license. The Ford Escape I rented was unavailable, so they gave me a free upgrade to a Chevrolet Equinox. The car's condition was good, with over 20,000 kilometers, and it was very spacious, although the power was just average.

There was no wait time, but they asked a bunch of questions that seemed pointless to me, like about my flight out of Salt Lake City and my destination. I've never encountered this with other rental companies. As long as I return the car according to the rental agreement, why do they need this information?

Even though it was a new car, it broke down unexpectedly, and the roadside assistance was very slow, which affected our subsequent plans. The rental agreement was for six days, but the car broke down after just four days. There was no compensation or refund for the remaining two days.

Not bad. Although the model we booked was unavailable, they gave us a Malibu instead, which was a bit small. But the car was still good, just not great for uphill driving. Returning the car was extremely easy.
