The car although clean and no dents HEAVILY smelt like someone was heavy smoking in it for a whole week. Sadly this was the only car available but I can't believe this is even considered renta-able. It was a disgusting smell throughout the whole booking but the car did the job I needed it for. Was a surprise though that insurance was a whopping $50 per day! The drop off keys box outside the building is alittle concerning that anyone can come and take the key. No security there.

The rental location is convenient and easy to find, the service attitude is very good, and the staff are very attentive. Picking up the car is very easy, and the car is in excellent condition. I rented a car that was less than a month old and had only driven 1,700 kilometers. The car was very clean inside and out when I picked it up. Returning the car took less than a minute. I'll choose Hertz for my next trip and hope their service is as good in other countries.

I was given an upgrade to a brand new SUV which was a nice surprise. Bit of a pain having to organise a tollpass to go around Brisbane which took about 15 mins to set up because the hertz was a satellite counter, not an actual office. Very friendly helpful service
