The staff at the car pickup was very friendly. Since there were times when we couldn't understand each other, we went back and forth using translation software, which took quite a bit of time, but he was very patient. The car provided was a DS model, though I don’t know the specific version. However, the car had numerous scratches. As it was my first time renting a car, I had read online that you should be very meticulous about documenting scratches. Due to the large number of scratches, we spent over 40 minutes just taking photos. After picking up the car from the basement level 4, we communicated with the staff, who said we only needed to take photos and didn’t need to add anything to the contract. He assured us that as long as there were prior photos, any issues later wouldn't be heavily pursued, and this turned out to be true. The car was given to us with a full tank of gas and a remaining range of 560 kilometers recorded. When returning the car, we refueled to full at a gas station very close to the store, but the remaining range showed only 540 kilometers. There was nothing we could do since it was already at full capacity. At the time of returning the car, no issues were raised, but later we discovered that 8 euros had been deducted from our credit card deposit! We suspect this was due to the 20-kilometer discrepancy. Keep in mind that in Europe, one liter of gas costs just 1.6 euros, and we had already refueled fully.
First of all, I am very angry with the rental company's tactics, using inappropriate methods to force us to cancel the order and require us to upgrade the rental at a higher cost. However, I am very grateful to Zuzuche for intervening and protecting our rights.
It took more than two hours to queue for the car. Such a long wait was an absolutely painful experience after a long flight. This is the first time in all these years of renting cars that I've encountered something so time-consuming.
The process of renting and returning the car was somewhat slow, and two months after returning the car, I was charged for a traffic violation without any prior notice.
Pretty good, they didn’t try to upsell insurance. However, they didn’t check the car during the return process. Even though I clearly refueled the tank before returning, they still charged me over $10 for fuel. The amount wasn’t much, so I didn’t pursue it further. Still, it would be better if they conducted a clear inspection during the car return.
The car rental company had a staff member who insisted I purchase the €47 insurance. He had a very poor attitude when I refused, and after lengthy discussions, I ended up buying it. Actually, I had already purchased full insurance through the platform, but the rental company couldn't see it. As a result, I had to cancel the full insurance from the platform. The platform's full coverage was only €150, whereas theirs was €47 per day—totally not worth it. However, the platform's customer service lady was extremely patient and helped with translation. I am very grateful.
The car rental company was overall acceptable. However, when returning the car, the staff specifically checked the underside of the car by hand and claimed there was a scratch, charging 70 euros for it. That area is typically not inspected during pickup, so it was hard to explain the reason. It felt like an unavoidable situation. Fortunately, I applied for insurance reimbursement, and QEEQ assisted promptly in handling it.
Quite excellent. Even though I don't speak English or Spanish, I managed to pick up the car smoothly using mobile translation. For peace of mind, I purchased full insurance from the rental company and a supplemental insurance from QEEQ, costing less than 500 per day.
We already purchased insurance through Zuzuche, which includes coverage for Andorra and Portugal. Why are we being forced to buy an additional 530 Euro insurance?
Due to the inconvenience of parking in Barcelona, I returned the car early at a different location. There was a 40 EUR fee. The car pickup was convenient, with no additional requirements, and the car was new.
