Nothing happened

The car is in good condition with 49,080 kilometers on it and almost new tires, which is quite satisfactory. When I returned the car at night, there was no one on duty, so I left the key in the box. I still don't know the status of the return and when it will be finalized.

Hertz doesn't offer outstanding service; it largely depends on the staff's mood. At our pickup point, the staff were strictly businesslike—neither enthusiastic nor deliberately indifferent, likely due to their personality. Our car experienced damage midway, and the efficiency of the replacement point was not impressive. However, the young guy at the airport drop-off was very cheerful and proactive. Overall, there isn't much service quality to speak of, but they don't charge extra, and the car was in good condition, which is the most comforting part of the trip.

The rented vehicle was quite new and drove smoothly during snowy conditions without any sudden issues. If you're unfamiliar with the environment, it's advised to purchase additional insurance. Our car door swung open in a hurricane, hit the front, and broke the hinge (didn't expect the wind to be that strong). Thankfully, we had additional insurance which lowered the basic compensation to a minimum.
