Good value overall

We were offered a nice upgrade in Denver. The counter person was very sweet and attentive.

All went well but i wasn't aware you'd charge a set fee for gasoline . I thought you'd charge me a couple of gallons to top off tank. I filled it the day before and used a couple of gallons. I noticed a 30 plus fee for gas service. Not happy with that.

Again gas fee wasn't explained.

The counter staff was rude and un helpfull it was not easy realizing the car rental company was payless.

This was my first time renting a car from Payless. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, although I did feel a bit pressured by his fast-speaking and lack of explanation of the contract. Also, be careful of purchasing insurance through PAYLESS, they will try to sneak in "extras" that you don't need. Check in and check out was a breeze though, and that was a nice relief. Overall, would rent from them again.

The counter staff tried to upsell a more expensive vehicle to every customer while I was at the counter. It wasn't even subtle and definitely a put off. Didn't have my car supposedly so I opted for a minivan which had more space anyway so it worked out. Vehicle was fine and value was good. Staff's selling techniques was the issue.
