Big car rental companies are still the best. When I rented in New Zealand, it was a small company. The car had only 4000 kilometers but was already full of dents and wasn't very clean inside. In the future, I'll stick with big companies.

Realized 30 minutes after returning the car that I left my headphones inside. Tried to contact Hertz but couldn't reach them, and couldn't recover the headphones. It's only been half an hour; I wonder if a staff member took them. This is incredibly disappointing, a terrible experience.

The pickup and drop-off process is simple and fast, but you do need to prepare in advance and have some English communication skills.
