The vehicle was relatively new, pick-up and drop-off procedures were simple, and the staff was friendly.

One staff member on my two rentals was excellent, but the other who tried to sell insurance and failed was quite unhappy, so it really depends on the person. Still better than Dollar.

Everything else was excellent, the only issue was because it was raining. The store manager suggested we upgrade the car from the convertible we initially booked to a Jeep SUV. However, when we got to the parking lot, we saw the Jeep was also a soft-top and quite small. We went back to the store to request a change. Since the pre-authorization was already done, the manager tried to say there weren't any cars like the one we originally booked and suggested another upgrade. I mentioned I saw plenty of the original cars in the parking lot, but he insisted they were all reserved. Finally, I said if we didn't get the car we originally booked, we wouldn't rent from them. Only then, reluctantly, did he agree to give us the car we originally booked. Despite this, everything else was great; the rental point is conveniently located from the airport, return was quick, and the car was in good condition. However, it seems rental companies tend to mislead Chinese customers into upgrading. Hopefully, this can be improved in the future.
