This company is really not great. It's actually a very small European company with no branches outside of Germany, and only a few locations within Germany. The car pickup location at the airport is very far, and you need someone from the rental company to come and get you. If the car has issues in another European country, it's really a hassle. The car we got was good, but our car was broken into in Italy. When we drove back to Frankfurt to replace it, there were no employees working. Although the rental company later compensated us for the fuel and tolls, the time and energy wasted and the negative impact on our trip were irreparable. So I advise everyone: don’t rent a car in Italy and avoid small companies. Large companies at least have branches in other places where you can exchange cars if needed.

Although the store is small, the car was great. I rented a Tiguan and got a free upgrade to a higher-end Kia SUV. No upselling when picking up the car, and no issues when returning it. After notifying them by phone at the airport, they arrived in 5 minutes.

Caro might not be a large company, as they do not have a dedicated counter in the Munich airport terminal. Their office is a few minutes away from the terminal, but this does not affect their service quality at all. Staff members were already waiting at the agreed meeting point at the scheduled time. The car was a new one with only 3000 kilometers on it. The paperwork was completed swiftly, and the staff was very thorough and enthusiastic in their explanations. The return process was equally high-quality. The phone customer service was top-notch, with high efficiency in resolving issues. The high-quality and efficient service combined with low rates makes their overall rating higher than big companies like Hertz and Europcar that I have worked with before.

It took us a while to find the meeting point after exiting customs because the signs were not clear. However, the elderly German couple we eventually found were very nice, and the staff handling the car pick-up were also very enthusiastic. The only dissatisfaction was during the car return. We arrived at the rental company and parked the car outside. I went into the garage where I picked up the car, looking for someone to ask about a car wash before returning it. There was no one in the garage, so I walked through the corridor into the office area and encountered a very rude German employee in his 30s with glasses. He assumed I drove into the garage and harshly told me to exit the same way and come in from the front. He didn't listen to me when I tried to explain, which made me very angry. Finally, I got a chance to explain that I was just asking about a car wash and did not drive into the garage, which slightly improved his attitude. Later, during the return process, his attitude remained arrogant and cold, which was very frustrating. While I was satisfied with the other staff and the car condition, his behavior made me hesitant to rent from this company again. Additionally, on the morning of the return, we realized we didn't have the exact return address. We called the QEEQ customer service from Germany to ask for the address to be sent to our email. I didn't want to call Caro’s hotline because of a previous unpleasant experience with a cold female operator due to a car navigation issue when we first arrived in Germany. The response from QEEQ customer service was infuriating, as they told us to refer to the contract address. If that address worked, why would we need to make an international call? The pick-up and return addresses are entirely different. In the end, I reluctantly called the Caro hotline, and thankfully a male operator provided the detailed address, allowing us to return the car smoothly. Overall, I can say I was basically satisfied, but I might not rent from them again.
