The car rental office is very easy to find, just a 300-meter walk to the left after exiting the airport. The paperwork is simple with no insurance upsells. We booked a Polo but received a very new Citroën C3. The trunk is spacious enough for two large suitcases and one small suitcase. The tank wasn't full, and you don't need to return it full either. Zakynthos isn't very big, so unless you're driving around the island every day, you won't use much fuel.

There was a very long wait to get to the office from the airport to pick up the car. And the price we paid for full insurance is too high (15 euros per day) as compared to another place on the island where they only take 9 euros per day for the same insurance !

The car was not the VW Polo that we booked but apparently in the same class (Hyundi i20). The rental office was easy to find and the staff very helpful and courteous. Car was in good condition.
