Friendly, attentive service, and no pressure to sell extra insurance!

As expected from a global chain, the service was excellent, even though the prices might be slightly higher. Generally, rental companies try to sell insurance because their staff gets high commissions from it. They often pretend not to understand when you decline insurance and sneakily include it in the contract. These contracts are several pages long, and if you don't notice and sign it, the insurance charges will be deducted from your credit card. Since your credit card has a deposit frozen at the start, you usually only notice this after returning home. However, this company was different. When I showed them the QEEQ order indicating I didn't need insurance, they briefly discussed the potential risks but still processed my rental without additional insurance. They clearly explained each fee from the deposit. It's indeed commendable.

Car was clean, staff very friendly, but I spent approx 40 mins in a queue (I had 3 clients before me)...one counter..

We had a great experience with Hertz in both Lisbon and Porto. Recent car and excellent service at the counter.

Website was easy to use, but the coupon section is confusing.
