The car arrived on time at the pickup point. However, one staff member was careless and didn’t ask for any registration; just told me to take the car. The fuel tank was only one-third full, and the staff member said it was fine to return it the same way. Later, I felt something was wrong, so I used WeChat to contact a colleague at the car rental company whom I’d spoken to before. He told me to go back and re-register all the documents, but by then I'd already left Jeju City and had to drive an extra 50 kilometers.

Long wait at the front desk for paperwork. During car pickup, we had to sign on their mobile device with all documents in Korean. Later, they sent a PDF of the signed documents to my WeChat upon request. There was no staff accompanying us for the car inspection or exchange process, nor were we reminded to queue for the airport shuttle.

At point of booking we noticed on booking confirmation that a deposit of USD500 - 3000 may be required. However it was not collected. The amount of the required deposit is above my expectation and we do not have sufficient fund for that.
