Pressured into taking out full insurance

We waited for more than 3 hours to get the car. When your holiday is for 2 days, that in itself will screw the whole thing.. this is just unacceptable

Don’t know as couldn’t get one unless I paid 5 times the on-line price

ACE was dire. The pick up took over an hour. After a flight with a 6 month baby and a 5 year old, this was far too long to wait to get to the desk to be served. English was poor, and it was a battle to convince them of the insurance I had already paid for with AXA via Easyrent. They even tried to con us out of 20 Euros for petrol to fill up saying the nearest petrol station was over 30km away from the airport. I had been to the airport several times and the petrol station that was 5km away has always sufficed.

Platform ok - didn’t get a price drop

I booked a car through Ace whose local agents showed as Rhodium. In fact they were using, in my opinion and that of scores of people, the worst car hire company in the world - Goldcar.

As a booking platform it was very good except the information about the company they use was totally and unforgivably incorrect.
