It was my first time renting a car for a self-drive trip in the US and I was very satisfied. I was surprised when I picked up the car; it was actually brand new with the plastic coverings still on. As a novice traveler renting a car abroad for the first time, I was quite impressed compared to the rental market back home. Got a new car, so let's make the most of it! However, this review is only for Dollar at San Francisco. The car I got later at Los Angeles Airport was pretty ordinary.

We arrived fairly late, around 9:30 PM, but the process was quick, and we got the car without any hassle. Returning the car was even more convenient: we refueled at a nearby gas station and dropped the car off at the return point, leaving the key on the front dashboard.
