Good experience, although it was what I expected.

The counter staff was professional and helpful. I had a little trouble hearing him because of the mask. With one person ahead of me at the counter, it took about 15 minutes for me to get to the counter. Between Hertz, Thrifty and I think it was Dollar, it would be nice to have a floater to handle any counter that needs the extra help.

This was the first time using QEEQ.COM. The platform was easy to navigate. The price was good. I don't remember any further price drop. Everything worked out great.

There should be more detailed instructions either at the airport or on QEEQ. If I hadn't read the user reviews, I would have almost taken the wrong bus.

The service attitude was average. I especially didn't like how they proactively recommended upgrading to other car models or additional insurance. Also, I had an unusual experience with the fuel policy this time. In past rentals, cars were given and returned with a full tank. However, this time I missed that the contract had a 'FPO Accepted' clause, meaning 'Fuel Purchase Option.' This led to an extra charge for a full tank of fuel, including taxes and service fees, amounting to nearly $40, even though I returned the car with a full tank. Fortunately, I noticed this when I rented another car right after returning the first one, and I requested a refund. Currently, I'm waiting for the refund. Reminder to all rental friends: always clarify any fees you don't understand!

About Thrifty: 2.0 /10
We booked a midsize sedan, but at the counter, they said our reserved car had a malfunction and offered us a Mitsubishi. They told us to come back after 9 AM the next day if we were not satisfied to see if another car was available. In the parking lot, we found the Mitsubishi, which was a small car quite similar to the compact models we had rented in Europe before. The parking lot was full of cars like Camrys which were much better, but the counter insisted that those were all under maintenance. The only thing the attendant could do was cancel our booking and suggest we try another rental agency. She said we could call customer service to get compensated for the price difference if we rented a similar car from another agency, but when we called, they said they could not reimburse the difference. We later found out that because Thrifty and Dollar share the same counter, she had given us Dollar's customer service number, not Thrifty's! Obviously, customer service wouldn't cover the price difference. After a long 10-hour flight, we were starving and had to waste an hour and a half in the rental hall dealing with this. The quality of service was truly awful. In the end, we had to spend tens of extra dollars to rent another car from Avis on the spot. This experience was extremely disappointing!!!

1. Initially, the agent did not accept our Chinese driver's license with the translation (provided by ZuzuCar). After consulting with a supervisor, they finally allowed us to pick up the car but warned that this was a one-time exception. 2. When returning the car, the driver of the first (empty) shuttle refused to let us board, telling us to wait for the next one. The second shuttle took a long time to arrive, and the driver was more interested in chatting with local passengers, driving slowly, causing us to miss our flight. We were stuck at the airport for 24 hours. 3. We were given a full tank of gas and told to return the car with a full tank. A week later, we received a billing notice saying we prepaid $70 for a tank of gas?! We returned it with a full tank!!! Not booking with them again.
