The rental office is located on the ground level of the ParkRoyal Hotel, opposite Terminals T1, T2, and T3, behind the large Melbourne sign. If you arrive at Terminal T4, make your way outside to Terminal T3 to cross the road . Please proceed to the office to complete your rental contract.

Drop-off Instructions

When approaching the airport area, follow the road signs marked "Car Rental Returns." After passing through the center road traffic light, keep right and watch for overhead signs indicating "Car Rental Returns" at the entrance. Enter through the Car Rental Return car park entrance. There was no mention of this during the booking. It wasn't until I saw the charge on my credit card statement that I found out about an extra fee of around 100 yuan. After 10 days of inquiry, the car rental company claimed it was a special location pickup fee. They couldn't explain what constitutes a special location. I picked up the car at the airport, which I guess is pretty special! It feels unfair, even though the amount isn’t much, it's still frustrating. Seems like I need to understand the rules better next time.

There were issues with overcharging and unauthorized fees during both pick-up and drop-off. When picking up the car, they claimed we hadn't paid the one-way rental fee and demanded an immediate payment of AUD 230.52 to proceed. Half an hour after returning the car at Adelaide airport, an additional charge of AUD 34.16 was inexplicably made to our credit card.

The app initially showed a rental price of 380 AUD, but when I got there, they asked for 480 AUD, and with insurance, the total was 700 AUD. It's ridiculous. The rental car had a trunk full of rotten tomatoes—I have no idea why. The pickup truck used for car washing wasn't cleaned properly either. Inside the car, there were cigarette ash and a strong smell of smoke. Terrible experience!

Straightforward and simple. I mentioned to the lady at the counter that we were five adults and one child, and asked her to make sure it was a seven-seater car. She asked about our luggage, and I said two large bags, one small bag, and a stroller. She hesitated for a moment and then said she'd upgrade us to a Land Cruiser for free.
