I had previously read mixed reviews about car rentals in Cairo. This company actually forwards orders to Eurocar. The staff at the rental office was very efficient, sincere, and straightforward—no scams involved. The car was a Nissan Sunny with less than 30,000 kilometers on it, so it was fairly new. The owner mentioned that the previous renter in Luxor had damaged the rear right wheel and paid around 1200 RMB. If you purchase full insurance, such costs can be fully covered. However, there's an issue I encountered: my booking through QEEQ stated that it included basic insurance (essentially basic damage insurance where amounts beyond around 4000 RMB would be covered by the insurance company, but amounts below that would need to be paid personally). When I asked the office staff about this, they stated there was no damage insurance, and if there was, it would likely have been offered by QEEQ or other agencies like Shouqi. This inconsistency raises some concerns—either the rental owner misunderstood or there's an error in QEEQ's information. Therefore, I recommend purchasing full insurance. Additionally, I asked whether the car needed washing during pickup. The owner said it wasn't necessary, and the staff mentioned it depends on the situation. Ultimately, I felt the car's exterior was a bit dirty, but they didn't require me to clean it. I simply had to refuel the car to full.

Despite my poor English, I managed to pick up the car smoothly, taking quick photos as a record. Purchased unlimited mileage for about $16 per day. Driving in Cairo is absolutely a nightmare; on the day of returning the car, I accidentally took a wrong turn and had an intense experience. Honestly, I didn’t even feel like taking photos or videos. Both the driver and passenger were focused on the road and the navigation. On the trip to Marsa Matruh, I ended up with two speeding tickets.

At noon on Friday, there were hardly any customers at the counter. Providing a passport, credit card, and driver’s license was all it took, and we clarified the insurance and unlimited mileage terms before finalizing the contract smoothly (if no one is available at AVIS, you can also check with the Budget counter next door). For later issues, you can simply contact them via WhatsApp. When my tire was punctured, AVIS staff told me to visit a tire shop and then call them. They directly communicated with the shop over the phone, and the tire was repaired for just 100 EGP.

Very good. I saw people on Xiaohongshu mentioning various pitfalls, but in reality, the process was very professional. Just signing a contract, upgrading to unlimited mileage, and driving off. I bought QEEQ insurance instead of theirs. When returning the car, they barely inspected it and casually checked it before processing the return. They even dropped me off at T3. Within a week, I got my full deposit back. Additionally, this company doesn't require the 'three certificates as one'; a mainland passport combined with an international driver's license (IDP) suffices.

The pick-up and drop-off process was generally alright, but during the return, I was told that the car I rented was involved in violations, leading to its registration being suspended for 6 months and a $400 fine. However, no specific time, place, or reason for the violations were provided, making it feel like extortion. I followed all the rules, got no tickets, and committed no violations. Please investigate thoroughly to avoid wrongful penalties.

Arrived at the site around 7, repeatedly urged them, but it wasn't until around 10 that they took us to inspect the car. The fuel gauge was broken, there were multiple scratches on the exterior, and the interior was messy. They claimed they had upgraded us. For safety reasons, we refused to accept the car. After several rounds of negotiations, they finally agreed to reassign a vehicle. By the time the new car arrived, it was already midnight. Exhausted from a long flight, we had to hastily check the car and drive to the hotel. The next day, we found the interior was extremely dirty, and the body was covered in scratches. This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. From the staff's attitude to the quality of the vehicle.

They upgraded my my reservation for Volvo S40, after I received the car & while driving I noticed that the wheels have problems, I went to a gas station in order to adjust the wheels, then I called them to inform with the problem he told me that he will call the maintenance manager in order to call me, I didn’t receive any calls from anyone then, in the the next day I noticed the same problem while I was traveling to a resort which is 120 kilometers far from Cairo, I went to a gas station to adjust the wheels as well, when I returned back ( after 2 days) I called them and asked them to replace the car as it has a problem in the wheels, they told me no worries then while I was driving on the ring Road (high way) suddenly I found the wheel smashed on the road, thanks god me and my family survived & the car as well except for the wheel, then after I called them back to inform them by what happened they sent another car to me to replace the old which was much more better than the old, I was surprised by a call from the manager telling me that they will fix the wheels and discount the cost from me!!!!

This car rental company is a complete scam! When we returned the car, they tried to blame us for old scratches on the left front light (which is one of the most expensive parts to repair). Thankfully, we recorded a video of the car from all angles when we picked it up. The company couldn't pin the damage on us. Since they failed to extort us for damages and saw that we were rushing to catch a ride back to the city, it suddenly started raining as night fell. The company then generously offered to call a car for us. We agreed, and they called a friend's unlicensed cab. The agreed fare was double the price of an Uber. The car rental staff assured us it was for safety. Once in the car, their burly friend demanded higher fare on the expressway, threatening to kick us out if we didn't pay. For our safety, we had no choice but to pay three times the Uber price. Overall, it was a harrowing experience. Personal safety is paramount, and this car rental company recklessly endangered its customers for a bit of profit. I sincerely urge everyone to blacklist this rental company! Next time, we'll go with a reputable company like Sixt.

Our self-driving trip in Egypt left me with a strong impression of the rented car, though not in a positive way. Right after picking up the car, I noticed the poor condition—it lacked a handbrake, which caused significant unease during driving. Additionally, the right headlight on the left side of the car was completely broken and unusable. When I pointed out the issue to the rental office during pickup, they shockingly claimed it wasn't a problem and the car was fine to drive, leaving me feeling rather helpless. As we drove, there were even more issues. The engine's oil light came on, and upon checking, the oil level was critically low. Fortunately, we found a nearby gas station where I could purchase some, though it cost me 900 Egyptian pounds to resolve the issue. While the rental office reimbursed this expense when we returned the car, it was evident they had seriously neglected maintaining the vehicle before renting it out. On the bright side, the car's performance and power were relatively decent during our 3000-kilometer journey. However, all these minor problems made the trip much more stressful than necessary. Driving in Egypt’s cities, especially in places like Cairo and Alexandria, requires a great deal of courage and composure. The added issues with the car only increased the pressure. I sincerely hope the rental company takes vehicle maintenance more seriously in the future to provide more reliable cars for other customers.

The staff claimed they recorded a video of the car windows and took photos, but when switching the car, they required us to provide evidence of existing scratches on the vehicle. Make sure to take comprehensive photos of the entire car, including the undercarriage and windows. Since we picked up the car at night, our photos of the windows weren't clear, and they pointed out a small white spot on the glass. Please thoroughly record videos and take multiple clear photos as evidence.

We agreed to be picked up at 7:30 am at Terminal 3 of the airport with a sign, but we didn’t see anyone from the rental company. We only got picked up at 9 am after contacting the booking platform. We purchased unlimited mileage, confirmed by the platform at $10 per day, but it turned out to be $15 per day at the rental counter. Although we had no accidents or damage throughout the trip, during car return, they claimed there was a mark at the bottom corner of the car door, which was hard to notice, and charged us $200. We felt it was intentional extortion.

This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. I booked online, but when picking up the car on-site, they gave me one with over 80,000 kilometers on it. Upgrading to full insurance cost $200, $180, or $150, and we finally settled on the previously quoted $108 (probably trying to rip off as many people as they can). While driving, a tire blew out, so we replaced it with the spare and called the company to inform them. When returning the car, two employees spent a long time inspecting the tire, claiming it needed to be sent to a repair shop to check if it could be fixed. If repairable, we'd pay the repair cost; if not, we'd have to pay $100. We thought the outcome would surely be up to them anyway. Sure enough, after a long wait, they told us we had to pay $100. Moreover, this amount couldn't be deducted from the $200 deposit but had to be paid as an additional fee.
