Big company, very reliable. Returned the car 4 hours late due to a flight issue I mentioned to AVIS a day earlier. The AVIS staff on duty was very understanding and informed the next shift. They didn't charge me an overdue fee.
AVIS is great! It's a reputable company with well-maintained cars. Even though the local branches may not be as new, it doesn't affect usability and the cars are very clean. The process of picking up and returning the car was very fast! They didn't try to sell me any extra insurance or fuel options. It seems even more straightforward and efficient than my previous rentals in the US!
We arrived very early to pick up the car and no one was at the counter. However, the company had a small counter at the HAFADAI hotel where we were staying, so they delivered the car there. We booked a Honda but got a TOYOTA RAV4 instead. The car wasn't new but looked nice. It handled the mountain roads well, which was great.
