Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers must provide a full physical driving licence with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Original driving licence + International Driving Permit (IDP)

Please note that an International Driving Permit(IDP) is only a translation.You must present your original driving licence with the original IDP at the counter.

For local renters, you need to bring:

Depending on which countries to bring the rental cars to, policies differ:

Armenia	GEL 212 per rental

Cross border rentals are allowed only to Armenia. Cross border fee is 72,00 € / 212 GEL per rental and paid on Autounion agent. Extra surcharge is applied: For rentals between 1 day until 10 days, the fee is 12,00€ / 35 GEL and paid on border stations in Georgia. For rentals of more than 10 days the fee is 50,00€ / 147 GEL and paid on border stations in Georgia. Cross borders request must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the pick up date. Please send copy of your passport at email address info@autounion.ge for preparing documents at least 48 hours prior to the pick up. If copy of passport is not provided in advance, it will take 1 working day to prepare the documents.
